Mitchell Area Crime Stoppers, Inc. is pleased to have the opportunity to administer and award an annual $5,000 scholarship made available by the Walter Panzirer Family. The scholarship will be awarded to an eligible student who is attending a secondary educational facility (post high school) in the fall of 2010 who meets the following criteria:

 

  1. This scholarship will be awarded to an applicant who is currently a resident, or who has formerly been a resident of the state of South Dakota

  2. Current South Dakota State residents will be given preference.

  3. Scholarship applicants must be pursuing a field in Criminal Justice.

  4. Applicants who are the son or daughter of an active or former member of law enforcement or who have law enforcement step-parents will be given preference.

  5. Applicants must attend a secondary education facility (after high school graduation). An Applicant(s) must be in their junior or senior year pursuing a 4-year college degree, or must be a student attending a secondary education facility in pursuit of an associate degree (first or second year student) at the time that the scholarship is awarded (in the fall of 2010). A person may apply for this scholarship prior to attending a secondary educational facility as long as the applicant meets the eligibility requirements at the time that they receive the scholarship award.
