SDPOA Association Auxiliary Scholarship

A $200.00 scholarship will be chosen by lottery at the South Dakota Peace Officers' Association Seminar each year in September. At the time of the drawing, the financial register will be reviewed, and a vote will be taken at that time, to increase the number of scholarships to be awarded.  A minimum of one scholarship will be awarded each year.

The first name drawn will receive $200.00 to be used as needed.  An alternate name will also be picked at that time, in case the applicant does not meet the eligibility requirements.  The same procedure will follow for each scholarship, should more be approved by the members at the time of the seminar.
Verification of school registration will be done as soon as possible after the completion of the first semester or quarter, and then a check will be sent to the student(s).

1.     The application must be an Auxiliary member; or the child, grandchild or great-grandchild of an Auxiliary member of the SD Peace Officers' Association.

2.     The applicant must be attending any of the following: community college, junior college, university, trade school, or technical school.
